Today we saw the first 2 proton bunches circulating around the LHC. The SPS was injecting beams every 48 s into the LHC in beam1 direction, that is clockwise first into ALICE. By 10:15 they were with the beam at CMS. Shortly after at Point 8 (LHCb) and then at at Atlas. At 10:26 for the first time the beam made it back to ALICE making a full turn of the LHC. The ALICE V0 detectors were integrating the charge seen when the beam went through a screen in front of ALICE producing thousands of muons. The screenshot we took of the charge integrated every 2 seconds, shows the beam injections from 10:18 on. At 10:26 one sees that the particle intensity doubles as the beam makes it back through ALICE.
