Welcome to the Theory Division of Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata. Research in the Theory Division is carried out in several areas of theoretical physics including gravity, high-energy physics, mathematical physics, nuclear physics, quantum field theories, string theory, cosmology, statistical mechanics and condensed matter theory.

The members of the division engage themselves in independent research, as well as guiding graduate students for their Ph.D degree. The division holds regular seminars and hosts national and international conferences. We also have a long-term visitor program for collaborative visits.
