| Abstract | : |
Conformal interfaces in 1+1D CFTs enjoy a large degree of universality in terms of the reflection and transmission coefficient of energy (as well as other conserved charges preserved by the interface), when conformal matter is scattered against them. After reviewing the origin of the universality, I shall address how such universality gets modified once we leave the conformal fixed point. I shall consider one particular example of deformed CFT and demonstrate our new proposal where the universal transmission coefficient gets modified to a transmission function, which is an antisymmetric function of the incoming fluxes. I shall briefly outline the computation of this function in two specific states of the deformed CFT, namely a non-equilibrium steady state with a heat current and a scattering state, using both field-theoretic and holographic techniques. |
