| Abstract | : |
The talk briefly reviews how gravitational wave data from binary black hole collisions validate Hawking's black hole area theorem. Based on this, and the Generalized second law of thermodynamics, in a universe with black holes, an absolute consistency criterion is proposed on the logarithmic corrections to the Bekenstein-Hawking Area Formula for black hole entropy. Two seemingly disparate approaches to quantum gravity are then examined, in an attempted amalgamation, vis-a-vis the absolute consistency criterion emerging from BBHC-GW data validating the Hawking Theorem. This exercise appears to impose indirect constraints on the Beyond-Standard-Model elementary particle spectrum. |
