Abstract | : |
The two-channel Kondo model has been a theoretical and experimental playground to understand and probe intermediate coupling fixed points with non-Fermi liquid behavior. We revisit the compactification procedure of the (multi) two-channel Kondo model that rewrites it more “compactly” using the single-channel version of the model by exploiting spin-charge separation. We show that bosonization-debosonization (BdB) can be used as a systematic method for that purpose but only if we use a consistent BdB framework [1,2,3]. In doing so, we also advance the consistent framework [4,5] and further establish why it is so essential to be cognizant of the pitfalls of the conventional BdB framework. Extensive comparisons are carried out in exact limits [1] as well as by using poor man's scaling [2] and field-theoretic renormalization group methods [3]; on the way furthering the latter as well.
