Title              :

Entanglement from Correlations: A new Bridge between the two Worlds

Abstract        :

Quantum many body systems have traditionally been studied using
correlation functions. More recently, quantum information theoretic
measures like entanglement entropy have emerged as the new paradigms for
describing behaviour of quantum many body systems. But what are the
relations between information theoretic measures and correlation functions
for a generic interacting system? I will discuss the dictionary we have
recently constructed connecting these two worlds. I will apply this to a
repulsive Fermi gas to provide the first analytic calculations of
entanglement entropy in these systems.
