Title              :

Searching for new physics using underground experiments and space-based observatories

Abstract        :

Although the Standard Models of particle physics and cosmology
explains a huge variety of observations, yet, there are deeper mysteries
which these models are not capable of answering. Thus, various searches
for beyond the Standard Model physics are being undertaken to further
deepen our understanding of the Universe. In this talk, I will cover two
different but related topics. In the first part, I will discuss how the
presence of dark matter substructures in the Solar system can affect dark
matter - electron scattering in xenon-based direct detection experiments.
In the second part, I will give one example of how James Webb Space
Telescope observations can be used to study the primordial power spectrum
in cosmology.
