Abstract        :

Strongly interacting Fermi gases have been under intense scrutiny over the past two decades, both in experiment and theory. In particular the unitary Fermi gas (UFG), which is a spin-1/2 system with resonant short-ranged interactions, has been studied extensively due to its universal physical content. However, despite the apparent simplicity of the UFG, a theoretical description requires non-perturbative approaches to correctly capture its thermodynamic behavior. Thus, many questions about this subtle system remain a topic of debate.

In this talk I will present recent advances regarding the phase diagram of the spin-imbalanced UFG made with the so-called complex Langevin approach, which allows to extend our analysis past the limitations arising from the sign-problem. The main focus will be on thermodynamics and pairing in the temperature regime slightly above the critical temperature for superfluidity. In particular, I will discuss the elusive pseudogap regime near the balanced limit as well as the absence of any precursor of exotic pairing in this area of the phase diagram.
