Black Holes in an environment in large $D$

I will review the duality between classical dynamics of black Holes and the dynamics of a co-dimension one membrane moving in the asymptotic spacetime of the black hole. I will then discuss a construction of dynamical black hole solutions in a weak environment which solves Einstein's equation in a $1/D$ expansion.
