Abstract        :

Light neutrinos could be predicted to be unstable in some extensions of the standard model. The data from neutrino experiments put severe bounds on the lifetime of the neutrinos, thereby constraining the couplings that lead to neutrino decay. In this talk we will review the status of constraints on neutrino lifetime from current experiments. Future experiments are expected to improve this bound. We will look at expected constraints from DUNE and INO. Furthermore, neutrino decay could interfere with the measurement of the standard neutrino oscillation parameters at these future facilities, which we will discuss.
