The scholars of Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics apart from their involvement in active research, are also committed to social welfare. As a manifestation of this commitment, the Research Fellows of the Institute have been organizing Blood Donation Camps annually. Research scholars, faculty members and the staffs of the Institute spontaneously donate their share of life-saving blood, silently pronouncing the oath to serve humanity. Research Fellows are also trying to maintain a database of past donors & their blood groups, intended for quick reference & future use.
